Gemini Science Meeting: Resources for the Community

September 24, 2021

The Gemini Observatory Directorate wishes to thank everyone who contributed to the success of Gemini's very first virtual conference — from the organizing committees, to the speakers and workshop leaders, to the over 400 attendees. The conference, held from 23 to 26 August 2021, featured a compact four-day program with 23 talks and 4 workshops, which showcased the accomplishments and the breakthrough science of the international Gemini partnership, and the bright future ahead, with revitalization of Gemini's adaptive optics capabilities and instrumentation suite.

Video recordings of the talks have been made available at the NOIRLab Science YouTube channel and are posted on the NOIRLab Science website. The presentation slides will also be posted at the 2021 Gemini Science Meeting website. The slides and videos provide practical resources for learning about Gemini science, current and future capabilities, supporting diversity in the workplace, and more.

Planning is now getting underway for the postponed Gemini Science Meeting in Seoul. The meeting is scheduled for summer 2022 and dates will be announced in the next month. Stay tuned!
