SMARTS

Small and Moderate Aperture Research Telescope System

 

 

The SMARTS Consortium operates four small telescopes (SMARTS-GSU 1.5-m TelescopePlanetary Defense 1.3-m TelescopePlanetary Defense 1.0-m Telescope and SMARTS-GSU 0.9-m Telescope) on Cerro Tololo.  Observations can be secured by purchasing time on the telescopes, and membership is open to individuals or institutions, including international partners.
