First announcement: Abstract Submission, Self-Nomination for Invited Talks, Registration

Gemini Observatory Science Meeting 2022

The International Gemini Observatory invites its user community to gather in Seoul, Republic of Korea, for a celebration of our continuing mission to provide forefront access to the entire sky, and a preview of exciting developments to come. Hosted by the partnership’s newest member, this Science Meeting will feature the latest scientific results from Gemini, updates on current instrumentation projects and operations developments, and a discussion of Gemini’s strategic plans for the coming decade. The meeting will be held immediately before the IAU General assembly in Korea between 2-11 August 2022. Come join us in Seoul!

Abstract Submission 

Abstract submission is now open for contributed talks and posters at the following link.The deadline for abstract submission of contributed talks is 15 January 2022, and posters is 30 June 2022.

Self-Nomination for Invited Talks

The SOC is soliciting self-nominations for invited talks to broaden the range of researchers and research given high visibility in the Gemini community. As usual, invited speakers will be allocated additional time for their presentations relative to accepted contributed talks. Self-nominations are completed through the abstract form. Forms submitted by Saturday 27 November 2021 will receive full consideration by the SOC, and the complete invited speaker list will be announced in mid-December. 

Registration

Registration will open on 15 December 2021. There is an early registration fee of $450 USD for this in-person event. The registration pricing schedule is summarized on the following page:
