FLAMINGOS-2 Lens Failure

The large collimator lens in FLAMINGOS-2 has been found to be cracked. We are in the process of identifying the causes of the fracture, purchasing a new lens, and implementing a replacement solution that avoids these problems in the future. Unfortunately, this process will take several months. See the FLAMINGOS-2 status and availability page for the most current information.
