Gemini Fast Turnaround: June 2024

We are pleased to announce the monthly Call for Proposals for the Gemini Fast Turnaround (FT) Program. The upcoming deadline is 12:00 (noon) Hawai‘i Standard Time on 30 June 2024. Proposals are being accepted for both Gemini North and South. For successful proposals this cycle, observations will be active in the queue August–October 2024. 

The 2024B instrument schedule for this period is not yet available. At Gemini North we expect that GMOS-N, GNIRS (including both the Low and High-Resolution IFU), and MAROON-X will be available throughout much of the period. At Gemini South, we anticipate that GHOST, GMOS-S, and Flamingos 2 will be available for much of the cycle. Please contact the FT team for Zorro and ‘Alopeke availability. Note that there will be a planned engineering shutdown from 22 July through mid August at Gemini South and another shutdown starting in mid-October at Gemini North.
