GMOS-S Recommissioning Continues

Although commissioning is not complete and data reduction releases are not yet available following the cybersecurity incident, we have opted to allow data collection with the new GMOS-S detectors as soon as they are ready in order to minimize further on-sky losses. Hence, all of the GMOS-S modes have now been released to take science data. MOS mask pre-imaging processing has begun but we have yet to verify the mask-cutting transformation so a new mask design is not yet possible. We anticipate offering a provisional package enabling limited data reduction capabilities as soon as we have collected all the necessary information. We appreciate the understanding and patience of those with GMOS-S data.
