Travel
There are two airports on the big island, Hilo and Kona. We recommend flying into Hilo because it is where the conference will be held. Kona airport is about 90 miles (145 km) away from the conference venue.
To get around the island, a rental car is recommended. The only public transportation available around the island is the Hele-On bus but their hours are limited. Uber and Lyft service is sparse as well.
Citizens from certain countries would need a visa to enter the US. Please check this website for information. If you need an invitation letter, please send an email to iaus357@gemini.edu
