Gemini Fast Turnaround: April 2025

We are pleased to announce the monthly Call for Proposals for the Gemini Fast Turnaround (FT) Program. The upcoming deadline is 12:00 p.m. (noon) HST on 30 April 2025. We are accepting proposals for both Gemini North and South. Observations will be active in the queue from June to August 2025.

At Gemini North we are offering GMOS-N, IGRINS-2 in shared-risk mode, MAROON-X, and `Alopeke. GNIRS is not offered. At Gemini South we are offering GHOST, GMOS-S, Flamingos 2, and Zorro. However, make sure to check the instrument schedules for detailed availability in the 2025A Semester (25A). The schedule for 25B (August 2025 – January 2026) is not yet available. Be aware that Gemini South will have its annual telescope maintenance shutdown starting 21 July.

This is the fifth proposal call for 25A, and some partners have started to use up their time. Korea has no time remaining, and Argentina has one hour remaining. If you have any questions, please contact the FT team at fast.turnaround@gemini.edu.
