The US Extremely Large Telescope Program’s (US-ELTP) vision is to provide US-based astronomers with nationally funded all-sky observing access to two of the world’s most powerful telescopes, the Giant Magellan Telescope and Thirty Meter Telescope. NSF's NOIRLab will facilitate an open peer-review process of observing proposals, archive all data from both observatories, and provide an extensive suite of user support and data analysis services. Gemini at AAS

International Gemini Observatory staff will have a table next to the US-ELTP booth at AAS 242. If you have Gemini data, an active observing program, or even a vague idea for a project, visit our table at any time during exhibit hall hours to chat with our staff. We’ll be handing out decks of the Gemini Card Game and we’d also be excited to tell you about our brand-new high-resolution spectrograph, GHOST!  

We’d especially encourage anyone who would like help with their Gemini program to please stop by our table at any time or make an appointment with us by emailing david.jones@noirlab.edu.
