The NOIRLab Headquarters Library Services offers many services to NOIRLab staff:

Research Assistance

• Conduct research to fulfill staff informational requests
• Locate and obtain books, journals,  journal articles, and other information sources
• Provide current awareness service - notify staff of information in their areas of interest
• Supply expert guidance in searching for information and using databases such as ADS

Physical Collection

• Manage print collections of books and journals, many going back for decades
• Purchase and circulate books and journals to support research endeavors

Meeting and Study Space

• Provide community area for research and collaboration
• Provide public computer, study tables, and printer
• Provide areas for quiet study

Archives

• Preserve, organize, and provide access to materials on institutional history

Publications Tracking

• Maintain lists of publications by NOIRLab Scientific Staff and by researchers utilizing data from observations on NOIRLab telescopes and on non-NOIRLab telescopes to which the organization has granted community-access time
• Offer assistance in compiling and editing bibliographic references and lists
• Develop bibliometrics
