Gemini at AAS 245

December 16, 2024

Join us on Thursday 16 January 2025 for a conversation with Jessica Lu, Nestor Espinoza, Sebastian Gomez, Scott Dahm, Leinani Lozi, Elena Sabbi, Vinicius Placco, and Bill Vacca about the Gemini Observatory Strategic Vision for the 2030s.

The International Gemini Observatory is hosting a splinter session at AAS 245 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. ET. We will discuss instrument and facility upgrades to enable new synergies with the Extremely Large Telescope (ELT) and Habitable Worlds Observatory in areas of research pertaining to exoplanets, galaxy formation and evolution, time-domain and multi-messenger astronomy, and stellar and planet formation. Your input is crucial! Tell us how and where Gemini Observatory should grow.

Meet Gemini and other NOIRLab staff at the NSF NOIRLab booth throughout the meeting. Chat with our staff at any time during exhibit hall hours if you have Gemini data, an active observing program, or even a vague idea for a project.

Stop by the booth to get your copy of the new edition of the Gemini Capabilities brochure, and to choose your favorite Gemini pins, among other items, while supplies last. For a full list of Gemini-related talks and events, please visit our website.
