New Chapter Begins for Kitt Peak Telescope
The Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) will be mounted on the Kitt Peak Mayall telescope. Light from galaxies and quasars will be collected at prime focus by robotically positioned fibers and fed to 10 spectrographs.
