Vector Spectromagnetograph

The vector spectromagnetograph mounted on top of the Kitt Peak Synoptic Optical Long-term Investigations of the Sun (SOLIS) Tower, formerly the vacuum telescope tower. The poles flanking the tower are two of the three that form the lightning protection system. Standing next to the instrument are Dave Jaksha (left) and Jeremy Wagner. (Photograph by Kevin Schramm) Project progress was described in the September 2004 NOAO Newsletter (currently only available in PDF format).
