Gemini South primary mirror suspended from the 50-ton crane.

This operation demands a lot of concentration and teamwork. Note the rings on the bottom side of the mirror, these mark the segments that each magnetron covers in each step of the coating process. The primary mirror will be carefully set on top of the Wash cart to be moved to the washing area.
