Students,

Have you ever wondered if there are other worlds outside of our solar system and how you can discover them? Or if there’s a “Planet 9” out there waiting to be noticed? If you have, you’re not alone! Searching for exoplanets in our galaxy across many different star systems continues to provide valuable data to the scientific community.

You get the chance to experiment with real data and discover the key to these answers yourselves when you join the free Saturday morning online Teen Astronomy Café on February 5th, hosted for 5 years by your national observatory, NOIRLab! In his presentation and activity, “Backyard Worlds: Discovering Nearby Worlds Through Citizen Science”, Dr. Aaron Meisner (NSF’s NOIRlab) will present his amazing, exciting, and cutting-edge research! .

To participate in our online Teen Astronomy Café on Saturday, February 5th, sign up at http://www.teenastronomycafe.org to reserve your spot. An email will be sent prior to the Café on how to connect through zoom. Times: 9:30am - 11:45am MST
