Observations of a dwarf elliptical galaxy, IC225, with the GMOS IFU are used to compare various techniques of reduction and kinematic extraction, and to analyse the stellar population histories at the center of the galaxy. IC225 is peculiar in that it has a double nucleus with strong nebular emission lines - where the off-centre nucleus exhibits a 20 +/- 21 km/s (0.5 Å) blue shift in the emission lines - and indications of ongoing star formation. We hope to constrain the formation and evolution processes of this galaxy by it's observed kinematic and stellar population properties.
