Kitt Peak before the road

Kitt Peak, before the current road was built, as seen from San Vincente sometime in the mid to late 1950's. From the private collection of Dr Helmut Abt. San Vincente is a Tohono O’odham ranch that is located within the Schuk Toak District. Kitt Peak, a sacred mountain to the Tohono O’odham Nation, resides within Schuk Toak District. I'oligam Du'ag is the O’odham name for Kitt Peak and means Manzanita Bush Mountain.
