Rubin Observatory Alerts Visualization
NSF–DOE Vera C. Rubin Observatory was designed to detect changes in the sky, such as supernovae or moving asteroids. When Rubin spots something interesting, it sends alerts to community brokers that can be picked up by other telescopes for follow-up observations, like the International Gemini Observatory or the 4.1-meter Southern Astrophysical Research (SOAR) Telescope.
