DESI Data Map Push-In

This video takes you through DESI’s Year 3 Data Map — the largest 3D map of our Universe to date and uses it to study dark energy. The video begins at Earth and moves out to more and more distant objects. DESI is mounted on the U.S. National Science Foundation Nicholas U. Mayall 4-meter Telescope at Kitt Peak National Observatory (KPNO), a Program of NSF NOIRLab. A fulldome version of this animation can be found here.
