Coating Chamber Arrives in Chile
On October 25, 2018, the LSST Coating Chamber arrived at the port of Coquimbo, Chile. The 128-ton structure was lifted off the BBC Arizona by crane. The following day, the Coating Chamber was split into two pieces, top and bottom, and loaded onto two specialized trucks for transport to the LSST summit facility on Cerro Pachón.
