NEWFIRM Discovery of Warm Molecular Hydrogen in the Wind of M82

Galaxy-scale outflows of gas (“superwinds”) are a ubiquitous phenomenon in both starburst galaxies and those containing an active galactic nucleus but the contribution from dust and molecular gas is largely unknown.
