NGC 7008

Sometimes nicknamed the Fetus, this planetary nebula is located about 2800 lightyears away in the constellation Cygnus the Swan. Remember that planetary nebulae are regions of stellar death, not birth as the nickname "Fetus" would imply.

This image was taken as part of Advanced Observing Program (AOP) program at Kitt Peak Visitor Center during 2014.
