NGC 6384

NGC 6384 is a face-on spiral galaxy in the direction of the constellation of Ophiuchus. The many stars seen in this image are all in the foreground; they are all well within our own galaxy. NGC 6384 lies some 60 million light years beyond.

This image was taken as part of Advanced Observing Program (AOP) program at Kitt Peak Visitor Center during 2014.
