NGC 3227 is currently colliding with the small elliptical galaxy to the lower-right. The interacting pair are located about 80 million miles away in the constellation Leo.
This image was taken as part of Advanced Observing Program (AOP) program at Kitt Peak Visitor Center during 2014.
