The Coude Spectrograph

The Coude Spectrograph at the Kitt Peak 2.1-meter telescope, now used exclusively with the separate Coude Feed telescope, is an instrument the size of a large room, which enables technicians and observers to claim that they have stood in the optical path of their instrument.
