US-ELTP Science Data Life Cycle

The US-ELTP Science Data Life Cycle encompasses all the crucial stages from proposal submission and time allocation to observation planning, data collection, archiving, reduction, analysis, and finally, publication (as illustrated in the diagram above). The US-ELTP offers a modern approach to supporting scientists on this journey from good ideas to scientific papers using the Thirty Meter Telescope and the Giant Magellan Telescope — the US-ELTP Program Platform. Designed and developed by NSF NOIRLab in close collaboration with the Thirty Meter Telescope and the Giant Magellan Telescope, the US-ELTP Platform will be a streamlined workflow solution for projects based on data from the two observatories, enabling users to focus on their research instead of navigating multiple software packages, applications, licenses, and libraries. Throughout both the pre- and post-observing phases of the Science Data Life Cycle, the US-ELTP Platform will provide all necessary resources to support users.
