Retired Mayall Prime Focus Camera.
The Mosaic prime focus for the Nicholas U. Mayall 4-meter telescope is sitting on the ground of Kitt Peak. It was removed to make room for the U.S. Department of Energy-built Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI), the most powerful multi-object survey spectrograph in the world.
