AMELIA RAMIREZ (Professor of Physics Department, University of La Serena and NOAO South Visiting Astronomer)

The Mamalluca Observatory along with the Astronomy Group at ULS will use the newly opened Robotic Telescope of the USAFA Falcon Network. The goal is to keep constantly running two observational projects: photometric follow-up of extrasolar planets by transit method and tracking of asteroids. Data will be analyzed by the students of the Bachelor in Astronomy and Related Sciences, as well as by groups of amateur astronomy, learning methodologies for processing and reduction of images.
