Filter Loader

Only five of the Camera's six filters will be used in the Camera on any given observing night, but during the day, the filter loader (featured in the photo to the right) can exchange one of these filters for a different one. The filter loader doesn't have to work as quickly as the auto-changer, but it must still handle the delicate filters carefully. Additionally, it's important that the inside of the filter loader be kept clean and free of dust. Two loaders and two auto-changers will be built; if one requires maintenance the other can be used so there's no disruption in activity.
