Gemini Board at Cerro Pachón

Before the construction of the Gemini South telescope in Chile, the Gemini Board visited the Cerro Pachón site in the early 1990s. In the middle of this photo is former director of the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory Malcolm Smith. Others pictured include Alan Dressler, Wayne van Citters, and Sidney Wolff.
