Preliminary Program for the First Virtual Gemini Science Meeting (23–26 August 2021)

July 30, 2021

It is now T minus 4 weeks until the Virtual Gemini Science Meeting (GSM). We are excited to see the high level of interest across the Gemini international partnership with more than 350 registered participants and counting!

We are pleased to announce the preliminary program: https://noirlab.edu/science/events/websites/gsm2021/program

The program is a combination of invited science talks, observatory updates, and hands-on training sessions, and has a special focus on future instrumentation as requested by the community through the GSM planning survey. Generous time has also been set aside to enable interaction between the participants and speakers using blocked times on the schedule allocated for chat rooms. More information on these chat rooms, as well as sign-ups for one-on-one meetings with speakers, will be available in early August for registered participants.

There is no fee to attend! To register and/or for more information please see the meeting website.
