Gemini Fast Turnaround: April 2024

We are pleased to announce the monthly Call for Proposals for the Gemini Fast Turnaround (FT) Program. The upcoming deadline is 12:00 (noon) Hawai‘i Standard Time on 30 April 2024. Proposals are being accepted for both Gemini North and South. For successful proposals this cycle, observations will be active in the queue June–August 2024. 

Please see the Call for Proposals and the 2024A instrument schedules for the detailed instrument availability. The 2024B schedule for August is not yet available. At Gemini North we are offering GMOS-N, GNIRS (including the Low-Resolution IFU), MAROON-X, and `Alopeke. At Gemini South, we are offering GHOST, GMOS-S, Flamingos 2, and Zorro. Note that there will be an engineering shutdown for a couple of weeks starting at the end of July at Gemini South. If you have any questions, please contact the FT team at fast.turnaround@gemini.edu.
