Animated image showing the motion of the NGC 7582 galaxy disk via the hot ionized gas detected in the H-alpha and [NII] spectral lines shown in the right-hand inset. Each map shows the combined light from the stars and gas in thin slices of the MUSE datacube, spanning 1x1 arcmin of the galaxy (about 8kpc on a side, or 26,000 light-years at the distance to NGC 7582).
