The Large Magellanic Cloud at Cerro Tololo

Swirling above the Víctor M. Blanco 4-meter Telescope is our neighboring dwarf galaxy, the Large Magellanic Cloud. Flanking this large telescope are other telescopes at Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory (CTIO), namely the Curtis Schmidt Telescope (left) and the SMARTS 1.5-meter Telescope (right).
