Vera C. Rubin Observatory LSST Camera Focal Plane Build 092
A temporary granite base plate has square cutouts, the spacing of which matches the spacing of RTMs inside the cryostat. In order to install the next RTM in the sequence, the raft installation stages are lifted with a crane and moved over the opening corresponding to the RTM to be installed.
