Dear MESCIT Students, Congratulations on your hard work this semester! As our way of saying thanks, we’d like to invite you to a virtual event with University of Arizona students and staff. During this virtual visit, you will meet Dr. Jameson David Lopez, who is a professor at UA and is a member of the Quechan tribe located in Fort Yuma, California. Dr. Lopez has traveled to Native nations across the United States and will talk with you about his experiences and pursuing higher education. You will also meet with a panel of Native American UA students studying in STEM fields who want to meet you and discuss their experiences in college. You will have plenty of time to ask questions about UA and college life, and you will enjoy an introduction to stargazing with binoculars with NSF’s NOIRLab.
