Atmospheric characterization of giant exoplanets from low- and high-resolution spectroscopy
The atmospheric characterization of exoplanets provides profound insights into their formation, evolution, and chemical processes. I will present our efforts to derive the atmospheric properties of giant exoplanets by combining ground-based observations using the GIANO-B high-resolution spectrograph with space-based observations from JWST. I will discuss both the challenges and advantages of applying atmospheric retrieval techniques to these two types of observations, highlighting how they complement each other in constraining the composition, temperature profiles, and other properties of exoplanets.
