October 22, 2021

On behalf of Gemini Observatory, the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy (AURA) is soliciting competitive proposals to design and build the adaptive optics bench for the Gemini North Adaptive Optics facility, a ground layer adaptive optics and laser tomography adaptive optics system currently under development. The proposal due date is 7 January 2022.

A bidders conference will be held on 28 October 2021, at 8a.m. – 12p.m. Hawai‘i-Aleutian Standard Time, to provide prospective bidders the opportunity to ask questions about the request for proposals documentation. Attendance at this conference is not required but is strongly encouraged.

Prospective bidders are also encouraged to contact AURA contracts officer Daniel Calabrese (dcalabrese@aura-astronomy.org) to submit a notice of intent and to be added to the mailing list for information and updates.
